Meet the Team
Daniel Lawrence
Dan began his career as a Computer Scientist, earning degrees from UMBC and Johns Hopkins. He started at the Department of Defense, where he advanced to the role of Technical Director, leading the development of backend solutions for high-speed streaming data processing.
In 2017, Dan and Jake launched a mining operation in a detached garage in Westminster, MD. Faced with the challenge of driving over an hour to address issues, they co-founded OBM and developed the first version of Foreman to enable remote management of machines. Since then, Dan has embraced his entrepreneurial side, moving away from his developer role to focus on building and scaling one of Baltimore's leading startup SaaS companies.
Jacob Luers
Jake grew up in the small town of Dover, Ohio and always had an interest in everything electronic. He attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio in 2007. There he studied Computer Science and interned at a variety of companies including IBM. Upon graduating, Jake moved to Baltimore where he started his career at the Department of Defense, where he met Dan. Quickly realizing government life wasn't for him, he began working in the start-up scene in Baltimore. He worked at a few companies until Dan and him, always knowing they would build something together, started Foreman in 2017.
John Triscoli
John has been in Technology all of his career, starting with IBM, after graduating from The Johns Hopkins University. John comes to us from Newport LLC, a boutique advisory firm, where he was a partner focused on advising growth companies. Prior to Newport, John was the COO for FDS, Inc, a SaaS and services company serving the retail pharmacy market. John has also been a CIO twice, a general manager of an IT services firm and a co-founder of an internet start-up. John lives in Ellicott City, Md with his wife Donna, and enjoys playing Squash and Golf in his spare time.
Ramsey Chambers
Ramsey Chambers heads up our product group, helping define strategy and ensuring we build features our customers love. He has spent his career working for growth-stage enterprise software startups, with a great track record (4 out of 5) of helping them achieve scale and successful exits. Outside of work, Ramsey cooks for his family, builds stuff around the house, and occasionally fits in a run.
Fikay Abolade
Fikay Abolade is a product manager with a passion for innovation, always striving to build what customers love. He has consistently applied this philosophy throughout his career, from co-founding a pioneering company in the sports industry to holding various product management roles at startups, where he delighted users with timely, intuitive solutions that made their lives easier.
Outside of work, Fikay is the boys' varsity soccer coach at his local high school, where he was awarded Coach of the Year in King County, WA, led teams to win the state championship twice, and won the league seven times. Additionally, he has a passion for flying planes when the weather allows—a challenging hobby in rainy Seattle.
Michael Abrahamsen
Meet Michael, a software developer with a passion for the outdoors. From LIDAR systems used to detect land mines to his early days in startups, where he pioneered motion capture technology for injury prevention, he's been a versatile tech enthusiast. Eventually, he found his niche in blockchain technology. Now, he's on a mission to support the Bitcoin ecosystem. Based near Yellowstone National Park in Montana, Michael enjoys spending his time outdoors, whether it's hiking, biking, backpacking, or indulging in some surfing in San Diego a few times each year.
Jay Aisenbrey
After finding a love for software development in high school I decided to make it my career. In college I discovered cryptocurrencies and started mining dogecoin and Bitcoin which led me to trading it after graduating. I worked mostly in e-commerce software before finding a home in the cryptocurrency space. In my free time I enjoy playing disc golf, golfing, bowling, and playing mandolin in my band. I also have two beautiful daughters that I hope I can teach everything I know.
Ethan Barr
Ethan always enjoys a break from the day to day life. He has always been interested in gaming and coding so from time to time will play, watch, or develop in his free time. Ethan also has recently became an Uncle so he has dedicated a lot of time with playing with her while she is still at his parents house. Another past time that Ethan started to pick up is Disc Golf. His friends play a round every now and again on a course, and he enjoys joining in on a round or two. In terms of traveling, Ethan was never interested but after joining on a couple of trips with his co-workers, he enjoyed it quite a bit.
Jonathan Beaty
Jonathan has a strong background in finance and logistics, with experience in retail banking, brokerage firms, and the front office of a large oil & gas trade shop. He then moved into Bitcoin mining, gaining hands-on experience at a 100MW immersion and 25MW air-cooled site in Rockdale, TX. Jonathan later co-founded a Bitcoin mining consulting firm to support small and mid-sized Bitcoin miners in their operations utilizing Foreman.
Justin Besch
Justin has been a SQL developer for 10 years and is passionate about anlyzing data to answer business questions. Justin lives in Minnesota with his wife and two kids. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing video games, traveling, spending time outdoors, and hunting.
Kevin DeFries
As a dedicated software engineer, Kevin has a passion for building responsive web applications using modern frameworks. A proud Chicago native, he earned his degree in Computer Science and continues to fuel his curiosity by delving into machine learning and innovative data projects during his free time. Kevin's journey into technology was sparked by his early interest in Bitcoin, which profoundly influenced his career in computer science. When he's not coding cutting-edge solutions, he enjoys relaxing with his two beloved cats and indulging in his hobby of baking sourdough from scratch.
Jeremy Ellis
Jeremy Ellis is the Director of Energy Services. Leveraging his experience in procurement strategy along with energy management, he is excited to bring new revenue opportunities to miners. Always willing to collaborate, he is looking to bring his 17+ years of energy experience to the Mining world. Jeremy is active as a coach in both Ice Hockey and Lacrosse and has been a part of state champion teams in both sports over the past two years.
Matt Ferguson
Matt was born and raised in Memphis, TN where he currently resides. After a 6-year stint in the United States Air Force, Matt returned to university to finish his degree in Electrical Engineering. He has been a software engineer for 9 years in multiple industries. In his free time, Matt enjoys golfing with friends, woodworking, video games, baking (and eating) desserts, spending time with family, and his dog, Luke.
Erick Gil
With over a decade of experience as a versatile graphic designer, Erick has gained extensive experience across the whole spectrum of design. He has experience working with digital design, print design, motion graphics, and art direction. His journey has led him to work with startups and Fortune 500 companies. He enjoys contributing to a company’s growth by creating eye-catching, functional designs that elevate brands. Beyond his professional pursuits, Erick lives in Maryland and enjoys spending time with his two children and wife. His interests include video games, collecting sports cards, and watching sports (COYI).
Josh Glazer
Josh is a Baltimore native with 20+ years in software engineering and leadership across marketing, healthcare and, now crypto mining startups. He is a hands-on builder, specializing in front-end development, and finds joy in creating software that others enjoy using. When he’s not working, Josh enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two sons, traveling, and playing piano.
Sarah Hazelwood
Sarah is a Wisconsin native living in Pennsylvania, with a successful career in Customer Success and a genuine passion for all things Bitcoin. When not working, she can be found on the hockey rink, or happily taking care of her chickens and bees.
Victor Ho
Victor is an active participant in Bitcoin spaces especially around ordinals and gaming where he promotes the projects he is associated with. He believes in building cool stuff on Bitcoin to make the world a better place. A real people person, he will often find a unique connection that results in great service and community. In his after hours, he is either blues dancing to live music or studying the works from the greatest philosopher of all-time: Bruce Lee.
Asif Irfan
Asif is a backend engineer with extensive experience in developing and maintaining web applications. He holds an MSc in Computer Science from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany, and has a proven track record of designing scalable and robust solutions for critical domains, including healthcare and organ transplant management, where he delivered impactful digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency. Outside of work, Asif loves playing video games, traveling and watching Cricket.
Steve Massa
Steve has over 25 years of technology sales, business development, and strategic management experience working for Fortune 500 companies, venture-funded startups, government agencies, and his own companies. He is passionate about growing the bitcoin ecosystem and helping customers optimize their experience with the Foreman platform. Steve enjoys cooking, traveling, pickleball, and lives in Temecula, CA with his wife and 3 kids.
Chasen Meredith
Originally from the Bay Area, Chasen currently resides in Phoenix, AZ, with his wife and two children. He enjoys getting out of Phoenix and making day trips to cooler locations like Flagstaff and Sedona. Chasen has been working in the IT industry for over 15 years, focusing on cryptocurrency since 2020. His goal is to demonstrate the importance of a secure and robust network in the cryptocurrency industry.
Spencer Murphy
Spencer Murphy is a seasoned sales professional who has worked in multiple early stage software startups ranging from HR software, Logistics, to Cyber Security, helping them grow and scale. He got his degree in Business Management and Supply Chain Operations from the University of Colorado. He resides in Denver and enjoys is free time playing guitar, soccer, and enjoying the outdoors with his dog Pantera.
Lindsay Olsen
Lindsay is a dynamic marketer and designer, seamlessly blending creativity with strategy to enhance brand engagement and exposure. With previous experience in building marketing departments for software startups, Lindsay brings a wealth of expertise to her role. In her free time, you can find her soaking up the sun in Laguna Beach or cozied up with her beloved pets, a cat named Tinx and a dog named Chance.
Ryan Petrucelli
Ryan is an enthusiastic software developer with a passion for quality assurance and test automation. He currently resides in New York City, so if anyone lives nearby feel free to reach out and say hello! With his degree in Economics and Computer Science, Ryan has a developed a love for both software engineering and for high-level business processes. After deciding that a career in technology consulting was not for him, Ryan has pivoted over to the startup world and couldn't be more excited!
Josh Reese
Josh is a software engineer and computer scientist with over 15 years in academia, software development, and education. He spent most of his youth in universities, obtaining a bachelor's degree from American University, a master's degree from the University of Edinburgh, and PhD coursework and research at Purdue University and the University of Maryland. After leaving academia, Josh learned and started teaching web development. Recently, Josh has been working at startups, building and managing backend teams. When Josh isn't writing code, you can find him trying to find ways to distract his overactive dog or playing Dungeons and Dragons.
Anton Schuster
Anton moved to America from SE Asia/Kenya when he was almost 10. He lives in the Pacific Northwest now, but visits family and friends in SoCal whenever he can to escape the rainy winters. He loves surfing, trail-running, smoking meats on his Traeger, many different kinds of food, and Bitcoin. He studied physics in school and did his thesis on computational spectroscopy, which led to his first startup. He spent time in 2017-2019 developing algo trading strategies for Bitcoin et al. before repenting and becoming a Bitcoiner in 2022.
Kerri Shirey
Kerri is a servant leader with a diverse IT background, spanning four industries: contract staffing, senior living, Fortune 500 manufacturing, and regulated healthcare, including Software-as-a-Medical Device. She has held various roles, from Project and Product Management to Director of IT Systems and Software Quality Assurance. Throughout her career, Kerri has been dedicated to guiding teams to shift from starting tasks to finishing them, focusing on optimizing processes that create value for both customers and internal stakeholders. Originally from Maryland (Go Terps!), she now calls the Gulf Coast of Florida home, where she enjoys the beach, poolside relaxation, and the beauty of palm trees and pelicans.
Jorge Sierra
Jorge Sierra is a seasoned technology professional with over 10 years of experience in leading the onboarding and implementation of platform clients. He has a proven track record of delivering innovative and high-quality solutions for customers across various industries, including healthcare, finance, and education. A native of New Hampshire, Jorge is also an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys exploring nature and is currently perfecting his BBQ smoking skills.
Hodgie Teichmann
I have been married for 31 years and have incredible wife who has had to deal my car addiction for 34 years. I have successfully passed on my car addiction and love for technology on to our son. Formula 1, American Football and Operating Systems are my passion. I have been in IT for over 25 years and have built out IT Operations and Data Centers globally. My early career was spent in the auto industry which just energized my passion for cars and racing specifically F1. I love working with servers and operating systems. I got involved in Cryptocurrency data centers and mining operations 5 years ago and have involved in building out nearly 20 different mining operations throughout the US.
Michael VanSickle
Michael has been in the Bitcoin space for 5 years, focusing on R&D and Hardware. He has also worked in Sales, Technical Support, Site Ops, Logistics, Repair, Fleet Management, Software Development and Quality Control. Prior to Bitcoin, he was in IT for 25 years and was Director of IT for a Human Services organization for 12 years. Michael lives in NY with his wife and three children, where he enjoys locksport and riding his electric skateboards.
Evan Wilmer
Evan Wilmer is a results-driven strategist and product operations professional passionate about building impactful solutions. With a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Evan combines technical expertise with a sharp analytical mindset to simplify complex processes, enhance customer experiences, and drive innovation. Known for his creative problem-solving, he thrives on turning ambitious ideas into actionable outcomes. Outside of work, he is on bitcoin twitter, stays active at the gym, and enjoys traveling to discover new perspectives. Evan is dedicated to making a meaningful impact, both professionally and personally.
Becca Wilson
Becca joins us from Chicago as our Quality Lead, where she'll take on a hybrid role overseeing all aspects of quality and ensuring that standards are consistently met. With a background in start-ups, she brings expertise in project management, quality assurance, and team development. Outside of work, Becca is passionate about teaching Pilates, training in martial arts, and spending time with her two feline companions.
